Dear Potential Sponsor, I am proud to say that with much ambition, The Ohio State Triathlon Club is venturing into its third year as an officially recognized university club. As President and third year member, I am thrilled to be part of this organization and look forward to a new year filled with healthy training & competition, new faces & opportunities, and most of all, many fun times. Building off the momentum of our first two years, the club is looking to continuously progress in the way the sport of triathlon unceasingly sweeps the nation and world. In the two years Ohio State has competed in Collegiate Nationals, the number of OSU representatives competing has doubled, showing the growing interest in our sport and club. With the 2006-2007 year, we are focused on bringing the triathlon excitement experienced by our core members to the community of Ohio State students, providing greater triathlon training and instructional opportunities to our current members, and reaching out beyond our campus to give back to a community who has so generously supported our cause. We hope to make our mission possible through the following five objectives: · Offering Collegiate Nationals Scholarships · Providing Team Equipment · Educating through speakers, clinics, and training weekends · Hosting February’s 2nd annual Indoor Triathlon and June’s 3rd annual Scarlet and Gray Triathlon · Volunteering in December’s Special Olympics Games The Ohio State Triathlon activities have changed the lives of many prospering students at the university and we believe strongly in the value of this organization. We are dependant upon community support to grow the club and assist the talents of students that may not normally be able to participate due the high startup costs of equipment, racing fees, and traveling. Our goal is to raise $10,000 this year, and it is our hope that you, too, see the value of these activities and will support us with a generous contribution.
